As Sharetops is a socially aware web application it encourages users to share web links between each other. So for example, if you came across a great web site that you wanted to share with friends, you could add a link to that web site to your desktop then send the link to your friends. To send it your friends simply select the friend that you want to receive the web item as shown below:

Next, hover over the web link that you would like to send and click the “Send to friend” button (the blue arrow shown below)

A chat window will open up showing that you have sent the item to your friend. Note that if the recipient friend is offline at the time then any messages / links will be queued until they log on. Also, you can send links from your own Sharetop as well as any other Sharetops that you visit
