If you cannot find what you want in Sharetops’ predefined links section and you find it difficult locating resources to add using the custom link system then you can always fall back on the Sharetops built in search system. You can use Search Web to find web pages, web sites, images, videos and RSS feeds. To search for and add links directly to your desktop please follow the instructions shown below:

Selecting the Search Web Sharetops main menu option will present you with the following dialog:

Select the type of web resource that you are looking for, enter the search terms into the search box then click the search button. In this example we enter the search term “pocketeers”, which returns the results shown below:

The search box lists the title of each web page / site that was found that matches our search criteria. You can add the site / page directly to your current desktop by clicking the green add sign next to the web site title. You can also preview the web site by clicking the blue view icon that is also located next to the web site title.

Note that if there are more than ten results then the results will be paged in sets of ten. You can use the page navigation buttons located at the bottom of the web search window to navigate the search results
