The real power of Sharetops is in allowing the user to add pretty much anything they want to their Sharetops. With this in mind, Sharetops allows you to create your own custom links to just about anything on the web. To add your own custom link please follow the instructions below:

Selecting the Add Item Sharetops menu option will present you with the following dialog:

From here select the type of web item that you would like to add to the desktop then click the Add button. In this example are going to add a custom web link to www.sharetops.com. Select Web Page Link then click the add button, the following dialog will pop up:

From the popular links list, select the Custom icon then type the Name, Description and Page URL into the link attribute boxes as shown in the above dialog

After clicking the Create button a Sharetops icon should appear on your web desktop like shown below:

Now that the link is situated on your desktop you can do a manner of things with it, including:

• Double click the icon to visit Facebook
• Reposition the link by clicking on it and dragging it to a new place
• Hovering over the link will bring up two icons. The icon to the top left allows you to edit the icon, whilst the icon to the top right allows you to delete the icon from your desktop
